Michele, I usually come to your blog for enlightened discussion and to be edified on interesting topics. Instead, I read this post yesterday and ever since have been unable to get cheesy ballads by 80’s glam metal bands out of my head!!!! Why, oh why, does my brain insist on retaining all the lyrics to Motley Crue’s “Without You” when I can’t even keep track of my nephew’s birthdays or what to buy at the grocery store?

I meant nephews’ plural – three nephews, three birthdays, not one nephew with several birthdays. Motley Crue is truly rotting my cognitive functions.
