Gleeps, creeps, and weeps

I just discovered while cruising the Trixie Belden homepage that my beloved Trixie Belden series is going to be reissued! I'm so excited. Someday soon I'll have to explain why I like Trixie Belden so much. I guess I really should study some more right now though.

I doubt I'll make it to the big convention. I do want to go visit Trixie country in the Hudson River Valley in New York State someday though. The author based the setting of the books on her town and neighborhood, and every once in a while there's an enthusiastic report on the Trixie board from someone who's visited there.

On the other hand, if they combined the Trixie convention with the Advance Squad Leader one I definitely would not want to miss that.

Heh, that's really cool news! It's always nice when the perseverance of dedicated fans is rewarded. I have a special place in my heart for small but dedicated fans of products/books/franchises who continue to talk and write about ideas that have been long since abandoned by their creators/publishers.

I think to save money, the Trixie Beldon Fanclub and the Advanced Squad Leader fans should combine their annual conventions. What do you think?
