There and back again
Well, I'm back from Gencon. It was awesome, and it's hopefully something to add to my calendar next year. What a great time! I'll try to collect some observations and post them here this week.

And hopefully, I'll be there next year too. Of course, I say that every year.
I'm looking forward to hearing about how "All Flesh Must Be Eaten" played.

I'll let Andy handle the particulars, but a general description of the AFMBE session could be "craptacular", or maybe "sucknificient".
10 "All of a sudden, another zombie jumps out. Make a Gun roll!"
20 GOTO 20

D'oh! I meant "GOTO 10", of course.
This is the sort of brain damage prolonged exposure to that AFMBE game wrought.

Alas, Jonathan, the AFMBE game was terrible. Not the game itself, mind you--the game itself seems quite extremely cool--but the session Jon and I were in was a truly wretched experience. It was one of those experiences so horrible that you look back after the fact and are actually glad it happened, because it's so fun to rant and complain about.
I'll probably end up posting more thoroughly on the AFMBE game, but in short, the GM was terrible, the players were terrible, and the scenario was terrible. You'd think it would be hard to mess up a gaming scenario involving truckloads of zombies, an X-Files type military conspiracy, and grenade launchers... but you'd be wrong.
I'm itching to set up and run an AFMBE game myself now, in some desperate attempt to redeem the experience :) Anyone interested? I ran a zombie scenario last year using Call of Cthulhu and it went fairly well...
